Kelly Preston has officially been announced as a cast member in Nick Cassavetes’ Gotti: Three Generations, an upcoming biopic on former boss of the Gambino crime family John Gotti.

Preston, who is John Travolta’s real-life spouse, will play his on-screen wife, Victoria Gotti. Preston and Travolta’s 11-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu, has also been confirmed as their on-screen daughter, Angel Gotti.

“The love and passion between John and Kelly ... will bring a huge benefit to John Sr. and his wife, and to tell you the truth, they have a lot in common,” producer Marc Fiore said in a statement, according to People.com.

“They both lost a child at a young age and they understand what the Gottis went through when the Gottis lost their child.”

Gotti: Three Generations’ executive producer, Marc Fiore, confirmed the casting news early Wednesday.

Preston joins a star-studded cast that already includes Travolta, Academy Award-winning actor Joe Pesci, and Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan.

The Casino Jack star addressed her husband’s acting prowess during a press conference that took place several weeks before she was formally cast, telling reporters, “I think he just inhabits a person so brilliantly. He doesn’t really play them. He becomes them.”
