Kelsey Grammer Refutes Erroneous Father’s Day Reports

The ‘Cheers’ and ‘Frasier’ star denied reports that he did not call his children on Father’s Day

Actor Kelsey Grammer and his estranged wife, former Playboy model Camille Donatacci, announced that they were separating from one another on July 1. Various media sources recently ran with a story about actor Kelsey Grammer allegedly deciding not to call his children on Father’s Day after the former couple decided to skip a trip that would have allowed the kids to visit him in New York.

However, the man who portrayed the role of Dr. Frasier Crane in the television sitcoms Cheers and Frasier is vehemently refuting the erroneous reports. Grammer turned to his official website, KelseyLive.com, to release a statement denying the claims that he did not get in touch with his children on the holiday.

“The truth is I did call my kids that evening. Frankly, I was surprised that they did not call me in the morning but I was thousands of miles away and working that day so I didn’t give it a second thought,” the actor wrote. “I called them to see how they were doing as I do almost every night at around the same time just before they go to bed.”

Grammer also took the time to address rumors that he was spotted publicly with a blonde at a New York restaurant. Reports indicated that he was getting cozy with a young woman, but he revealed that the female in question was his 26-year-old daughter Spencer.

He took issue with the allegations that he was getting intimate with Spencer, but admitted that if the rumors were true that it would be newsworthy.
