Kevin Jonas Engaged

Kevin Jonas has proposed to his girlfriend, Danielle Deleasa. Jonas told People magazine,she said "'yes, yes, yes'—like, 500 times superfast in a row" after he surprised her on her doorstep in New Jersey.

The oldest of the Jonas Brothers flew overnight from Vancouver with the cushion-cut diamond ring that he designed with Jacob & Co. to pop the question.

"It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world, Kevin said.

According to Reuters, Jonas met 22-year-old Deleasa, a former hairdresser, two years ago in the Bahamas while their families were vacationing there.

At the time of their meeting, MTV.com reports, the Jonas Brothers were still up and coming as a band and Deleasa says she didn't even know who they were. Kevin pursued her after spotting her on the beach.

The couple has not yet set a wedding date.

Jonas, 21, and his younger brothers, 19-year-old Joe and 16-year-old Nick, all wear purity rings, symbolizing their promise to abstain from sex until marriage.

Joe and Nick used their Twitter accounts to extend their congratulations to their big brother and their parents, Kevin Sr. and Denise, released a statement saying their "hearts are filled with joy" at the news of the engagement.
