Kevin Smith announces new flick completed

While it does seem that Kevin Smith may have put up the proverbial clown shoes of Jay and Silent Bob forever, he is taking a break from his own films to direct a new movie with Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan . Cop Out seems like a new twist on a very old buddy cop formula, in which two cops deal with the “everyday” adventures of police life. Originally titled A Couple of Dicks, Smith has included in the cast longtime friend and actor Jason Lee. While Smith did say on his twitter this is not his film, the fact that he brought in Lee shows that this movie, while not actually one of Smith’s films, should have some feel of the old ones we’ve come to love and enjoy so very much.

In his Twitter, Smith also stated that he didn’t mind the name change so much, presumably because it’s not one of his films, saying “They’re not going with A Couple Of Dicks? That’s such a cop-out.”

, Kevin Pollack, and Jim Norton
