Texas teen Ben Breedlove's story fostered reactions from many people, including Kid Cudi.
"This has really touched my heart in a way I cant describe, this is why I do what I do," Kid Cudi posted in reaction to Breedlove's videos.
Before passing away on Christmas Day after a lifelong battle with a heart condition, Breedlove posted two videos to YouTube sharing his hopes, dreams, fears, and a more recent vision that included his "fav rapper" Kid Cudi. Breedlove told that he "cheated death" before, and went into greater detail about a Dec. 6 incident in which he passed out at school.
Breedlove explained that as he was being revived, he envisioned himself and Kid Cudi wearing suits in a white room. Kid Cudi led him to a glass desk and put his hand on Breedlove's shoulder. He quoted the words of his song "Mr. Rager," saying:
"When will the fantasy end? When will the heaven begin?"
After his heart failed for three minutes, Breedlove was revived and proceeded to create these YouTube videos, releasing them on Dec. 18. Breedlove suffered from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a condition that makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood.
After viewing the videos, Kid Cudi wrote in his blog, "him seeing me in detail, in his vision really warmed my heart. I broke down, I am [brought] to tears."
Cudi concludes his blog post by acknowledging Ben and his family.
"I know Ben is at Peace, and I hope he gets a chance to sit and talk with my Dad. We love you Ben. Forever. Thank you for loving me. To Ben’s family, you raised a real hero, he’s definately mine."
