Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus Gets #2 Music Spot Sans ITunes

Kid Rock garners top hit sans iTunes.

Kid Rock's latest album is experiencing a second coming on the U.S. music charts.

According to this week's Billboard Top 200 music chart, for week ending 9/6/2008, Kid Rock's latest release, Rock N Roll Jesus, makes its second appearance in the U.S. top five. Billboard.com also reports that Rock's latest release, in a strategic move eschewing the digital "single" download domain, has not been made available to the public via iTunes. The album is currently available only through the traditional CD/shipping sales method of music retailing. Now coveting the number two chart position, the title's success and chart resurgence can also be attributed to the current hit single supporting the album, "All Summer Long."

Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus was released late last year, and made its Billboard debut at #1 in October of 2007.
