Kidman Joins Allen

The Hollywood Reporter has discovered that Nicole Kidman will star in Woody Allen's next film.

THR is reporting that Kidman will be joining quite the international cast. Others include Antonio Banderas, Freida Pinto, Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins in the untitled project.

The film is set to begin filming in London this summer.

It is being produced by Spanish company Mediapro, which was also behind funding Allen's last film, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. That film garnered actress Penelope Cruz a best supporting actress Oscar.

Allen's latest film, Whatever Works, will be released on June 19 by Sony Pictures Classic.

Kidman will next be seen the musical adaptation, Nine, which will be directed by Rob Marshall. Marshall also directed Chicago, another musical adaptation. Kidman's last project, Australia, was released November and made more than $200 million worldwide.
