Kidnap Victim Shows Home Videos
Jaycee Dugard, 29, a kidnap victim for 18 years, is shown happy and healthy in some home videos of her current life healing with her family. They were aired on Good Morning America Friday morning. This has been the first times she’s been on video since six months ago when she reappeared after being kidnapped in 1991
Jaycee is currently living with her family in an undisclosed location in northern California.
The videos released show Jaycee now living with her family, baking cookies and riding horses as part of her extensive therapy. The videos were released by Jaycee’s mother Terry Probyn in order to thank the public for the support and to ask that their privacy be respected.
Jaycee was kidnapped outside her South Lake Tahoe, California home and was a prisoner in a squalid backyard compound owned by convicted sex offender Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy. They are currently awaiting trial on charges of kidnapping Jaycee when she was 11-years-old and sexually assaulting her until her release in a tent compound in Antioch, California.
They have pleaded not guilty.
Jaycee will be testifying against them if it comes to trial.
More clips from the family will be shown Friday on 20/20 and Nightline.
