Kiefer Sutherland Breaks a Nose, Gets Off Scot-Free

24 Star back in trouble.

Kiefer Sutherland publicly apologized to the fashion designer, Jack McCollough, according to the nydailynews.com, whom he head-butted on May 5 after an argument in a nightclub.

Sutherland is the star of the hit TV show, 24, and was working on the movie, Twelve, when the confrontation occurred. The New York Times reports that both McCollough and Sutherland issued a joint statement, both wishing each other well. According to the Associated Press, the story of the incident created a media circus with rumors of actress Brooke Shields playing a part in the altercation; apparently being shoved by McCollough – leading to a head butt by Sutherland.

Sutherland pleaded no contest in October of 2007 after driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit. He served 30 days in jail plus another 18 for a 2004 drunk-driving charge. A prosecutor may go before a judge to ask that the case be dropped. Sutherland is scheduled for court on June 22.
