Kiefer Sutherland Butts Head with Designer Ð Literally

You don't mess with Jack Bauer: Kiefer Sutherland head-butted designer Jack McCollough when he interrupted a conversation between the actor and Brooke Shields, the New York Daily News reports. Apparently, the 24 star and Shields, who co-starred in the 1996 movie, Freeway, were schmoozing at a Manhattan bar when McCollough bumped into the actress. Sutherland demanded he apologize and got into a heated argument with the "intruder." Finally he head-butted him in front of other celebrities including Kirsten Dunst and Mary-Kate Olsen.

Some witnesses said McCollough suffered a broken nose, but according to police all he sustained was a scratch. Investigators are reaching out to Sutherland to talk to him today.

McCollough told investigators Sutherland "was drunk and obnoxious and wouldn't back down or be logical." He added that Sutherland "pulled this stupid wrestling move like a teenager." Shields seems to be taking McCollough's side.

Sutherland knows the drill: He was arrested in 2004 and in 2007, both times on misdemeanor drunken-driving charges. He served 48 days in prison from December of 2007 to January of 2008.
