Kim Kardashian cast in recurring role on 'Drop Dead Diva'

Barbara Walters may have to eat her words. Last year while interviewing the Kardashians for her annual Most Fascinating People of the Year segment, the news veteran bluntly told the sisters they have no talent.

Now it looks like Kim’s taken that message to heart.

The Vancouver Sun reported the reality princess is expanding her acting career with a recurring role on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva.

The 31-year-old will first appear on the show’s season four premiere in the summer.

According to USA Today, Kim will play Fred’s love interest, Nikki, and his ex-girlfriend, Stacy’s, possible new business partner.

"I'm ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family,” the show’s creator and executive producer Josh Berman said. “In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor, and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim ‘reinvented’ in the world of Drop Dead Diva.’”

Kim’s other acting credits include roles on CSI: NY, Beyond the Break and upcoming Tyler Perry movie The Marriage Counselor.

Drop Dead Diva has been on air since 2009 and revolves around a shallow model who dies in a car accident, but comes back to life in the body of an intelligent, plus-size model.
