Kim Kardashian Dances to Lose Weight

The reality star hopes stint on TV series will help her to lose weight.

You would think someone secure enough with their body to make a tape letting it all hang out with former boyfriend Ray J, wouldn't feel the need to be self-conscious.

That's not so for Kim Kardashian, as ActressArchieves.com reports her as having said that she hopes that time spent on Dancing with the Stars will help her lose weight.

"I really want to be toned. Every girl has her insecurities, whether she is skinny or not. You want to look good when you're on vacation in a swimsuit," she reportedly told OK! Magazine.

But what insecurities could a person who's known for having a good body have anyway?

"When I meet people, the first thing they say is, 'Wow, you're so much smaller than I thought!' I look about 15 pounds heavier. I'm only 115 pounds, and everyone thinks I'm like 130 or 140. It's bizarre. I'm a size 2!" claims Kardashian.

She reports that the pounds have already been coming off due to the rehearsal time perfecting her moves with dance partner Mark Ballas.

The weight loss is "nothing too crazy yet," Kardashian admits, "but I heard that you really start to lose weight when the show starts."

While the reality star is looking to drop a few, she is realistic and says that she will never lose the "booty" for which she has become known.

"I don't even think that's really possible. I'm going to probably have kids soon, so I want to have the perfect body before then. It'll be harder to get in shape afterward, so why not do it now? I know that I'm not a stick-skinny girl, and I don't want to be or try to be."
