Kim Kardashian reveals Vera Wang is designing her wedding dress

First, Kim Kardashian’s wedding invitation hit the web, which confirmed the date to be August 20. Now, Kardashian has revealed her wedding dress designer.

“I am so excited to reveal that Vera Wang is my wedding dress designer,” she wrote on her website. “Vera has been a close family friend for a long time and we had talked about this moment for years, so when it came to picking my wedding dress designer she was the first person I thought of. No one designs gowns the way she does!”

“I know that Vera can make my dream come true and create the most perfect gown for my special day,” she continued, adding via Twitter, “This will be my dream wedding dress!! I’m so excited.”

Vera Wang was responsible for designing Khole Kardashian’s wedding dress as well. In June, Khloe said she hoped her sister would choose Wang to design the dress.

"She did mine, so I hope she does. Just because I love her, and I feel like when you think of weddings, you think Vera Wang," Khloe said. “I think it would be a perfect fit."

Kim Kardashian will wed NBA player Kris Humprhries on August 20 in California. According to friends, it won’t be a disappointment because of Kardashian’s reality star status.

“The world is going to want to see something really exciting. It’s Kim. She’s not a movie star, she’s not a pop star, she’s a reality star that everyone’s obsessed with and everyone wants to see,” her publicist told People. “To not give people a huge [ceremony] for them to awe over would be almost bad. It wouldn’t be nice.”
