Kim Kardashian wishes Duchess of Cambridge happy birthday (Video)
As Catherine Duchess of Cambridge celebrates her 30th birthday today well wishers around the globe will no doubt be flooding the future queen with messages, cards flowers and the like. One such person is Kim Kardashian who has fashioned a shoe and a video message for Kate in honor of her special day.
The Daily Mail reports Kardashian’s online shoe service ShoeDazzle has created “The Duchess,” a quilted pump with a 4.5-inch heel that her UK clients can purchase from ShoeDazzle.com for the requisite $39.95. Kardashian says that she “loves Kate’s style personally” and feels that “every woman should feel like a princess every day.”
The 26-second clip shows Kardashian wishing the Duchess a happy birthday while simultaneously plugging the shoe. Even though Kimmy K. says ShoeDazzle has created the kicks especially for Kate’s birthday My Daily is saying not so fast. It appears the “Collins” shoe, which is already available in the U.S., bears a striking resemblance to the “one of a kind” Duchess pair.
Regardless of which haute heel came first Kardashian certainly isn’t the only one to capitalize on the popularity of the Middleton name. Remember when younger sister Pippa Middleton was seen with this gorgeous bag by Modalu the day after the royal wedding in April? The purse became so popular Modalu later christened it “Pippa.”
