Kind Voice of 'Idol' Around for Three More Years
Paula Abdul has signed a contract to continue judging on 'American Idol' for three years.
Future 'American Idol' contestants can rest assured that they will not have to face Simon Cowell's criticism without a little backup.
Singer and choreographer Paula Abdul has confirmed her commitment to the show by signing a contract to continue judging for three more years. She is known for her kind and gentle comments to contestants, and for fighting with Cowell over his extremely harsh criticisms. "[I] look forward to putting Simon in his place for years to come," she says. Cowell is already signed on to the show for another five seasons.
The current season of 'Idol' is currently down to nine contestants, who will tackle country songs on the next show. The winner will be announced during the finale episode on May 24th.
