King of the Hill Canceled

It seems like King of the Hill is much like The Simpsons in that it's been around for a long, long time.

But that will end at the end of this season - the show's most recent 13-episode order will be the animated series' last.

The series will air its final episodes during the 2009-2010 season. When, exactly, is still up in the air.

The show has been long-rumored to be done, so the news of King of the Hill being canceled does not come as a great surprise.

"It's probably time [for Fox to make a decision]," Gary Newman, co-chairman of 20th Century Fox TV said earlier this month. "I don't know if the network will be ordering more seasons or not. That show has had its last rites read to it several times, and keeps rearing its head again."

The good news is that fans of the show can still catch repeats on multiple networks, FX being one.
