Kirsten Dunts Will Join "Spider-Man 4"

After much speculation, Dunst confirms her place in the fourth installation in the franchise.

Producer Todd Black announced to the New York Post that Kirsten Dunst will join the cast of "Spider-Man 4." Director Sam Raimi and title star Toby Maguire have already signed on to the fourth installment of the superhero franchise, set to be released on May 6, 2011.

Black also said that he is not sure of a Peter Parker, Mary Jane marriage to be in the film. "Spider-Man 3" left the couple uncertain of the future. He also snuffed reports that the villain will be Morbius the Living Vampire, but he said the character will be very close to New York.

Spider-Man has already faced off with the Green Goblin, Venom, Sandman and Dr. Curt Connors, and now, rumors are swirling as to the new villain, including thoughts of Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and Hobgoblin, as well as Kingpin who played a role in "Daredevil."
