Kirstie Alley to Star in New AandE Reality Series
Kirstie Alley is set to star in her own reality series on A&E, The Hollywood Reporter announced.
Scheduled to air in 2010, the show will feature Alley juggling being a mother of two teenagers, her battle with weight loss and her career.
The network has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the Emmy-award winning actress' life to be aired in 2010, and will be produced by "American Idol" producer FremantleMedia.'
The 58-year-old actress starred in "Cheers," and in the Showtime mockumentary' "Fat Actress," in which she played herself fighting with Hollywood's weight expectations.
Alley was Jenny Craig's, a weight-loss company, spokeswoman for three years and dropped 75 pounds. Two years after leaving the weight-loss company, the actress re-gained the 75 pounds plus 10 more extra pounds after which she announced on Oprah she weighted over 200 pounds.
This will be the first time Alley exposes her personal life to the reality television viewers.
