Kirstie Alley Steps Down from Jenny Craig Ads

After three years and 75 lbs. lost, Kirsie passes the baton to Bertenelli.

After three years and seventy-five pounds lost on the Jenny Craig weight loss and maintenence plans, Kirstie Alley is stepping down from her post as Jenny spokeswoman and passing the baton to Valerie Bertenelli, said People.com.

"Although Kirstie will not appear in future advertising endeavors for us, she does remain on Jenny Craig's maintenance program and is confident that our program has helped her incorporate positive lifestyle changes that should last a lifetime," Scott Parker, vice-president of marketing for Jenny Craig said to People.

Parker goes on to say, "She's proud to have been able to participate in the creation of Jenny's award-winning, integrated advertising campaign, and says she's thankful for the opportunity to help so many other people lose weight and keep it off."

Alley has been under scrutiny by celeb watchers for her small weight gain while on the company's maintence plan. Although fluctuating weight is normal after a large weight loss, Alley was held up as an example. The star maintains she has kept her weight at a steady amount since her big loss three years ago.

Kirstie has been auditioning for roles, but says her greatest joy and job is taking care of her two children with ex-husband Parker Stevenson, William and Lillie.
