Kirstie Alley Supports Teen Son's Engagement

Kirstie Alley has a new reality show. She may also have a new daughter-in-law.

The former Cheers star went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday to plug The Big Life and announced that her son, True Stevenson, was getting married.

True is 17.

Alley said her son has been dating for over a year, and that she supports his decision.

"I feel good because they're really in love. True's got a level head. He's a good guy. He's very monogamous, and he's very sweet with her,” she said.

Alley was married to True’s father, Parker, from 1983 to 1997. Prior to that, she was married to Bob Alley from 1974 to 1977.

“You know, I was married at was I was just 19 years old and that didn't work,” said Alley. “Then I was married when I was 30 years old and that's when everyone said you should get married and that didn't work. So, I don't think I'm an expert on the subject. So, I think if somebody's in love and wants to be married then let them be in love and get married."
