Kris Allen is Flattered by Adam Lambert's Confession
Everyone's questions were answered this week when American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert confessed to being gay in a Rolling Stone article. He then went on to discuss his crush on his fellow contestant and winner, Kris Allen, but Allen was unable to comment at the time.
According to Rolling Stone, Allen has now responded to the statements Lambert made, "I'm flattered," Allen told People. "And think it's hilarious." In the article about Lambert, he discussed the rooming situation during the taping of American Idol where he was paired up with winner Kris Allen. "I was like, 'Oh, shit, they put me with the cute guy
Distracting!" The 27-year-old was disappointed because Allen was his type, only
he had a wife.
The two stuck by each other through the show and both made it to the finale where Lambert had been expected to win, and did not.
Allen was not the only one to respond to Lambert's coming out story when Kiss' Gene Simmons made a comment to Rolling Stone as well. According to Perez Hilton, Simmons recommended Lambert sing for Broadway or Queen, but then added "Mostly he should shut up about his sexual preferences. We, America, the rest of the world, really don't care." As for Gene Simmons, maybe he does not care, but finally those pressing questions Lambert fans had are answered.
