Kris Allen to Sing for NBA
The latest 'American Idol' winner will perform at the finals
Kris Allen, the 23-year-old winner of "American Idol," will sing the National Anthem before the second game of the NBA finals this Sunday.
Before the Los Angeles Lakers play the Orlando Magic at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Allen will serenade basketball fans and players, reports Reuters. The Lakers currently have a 1-0 lead over the Magic.
Celebrity.RightPundits.com reported that this is somewhat of a tradition, as all "Idol" winners except Fantasia Barrino, have sung the anthem for the basketball championship.
This is the first time Allen will perform the song in public. "I just want to get through it and not make any mistakes," he said. Watch his performance live on ABC at 8:00 p.m.
