Kris Allen Sings for NBA Finals

Idol winner Kris Allen is singing on Sunday night before game 2 of the NBA finals.

American Idol winner Kris Allen will be singing the U.S. National anthem before the second game of the NBA finals on Sunday. Reuters wrote this wasn't the first time the NBA had idols sing for them. In the past, they worked with Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson. It has now become a NBA tradition for "Idol" singers to perform before the game.

Allen won the 2009 season of "Idol" and continues to attract fans every time he takes the stage. He's sure to be a hit with the NBA crowd and get them hyped for the game.

Although Allen will be singing before the Lakers vs. Orlando Magic game he is no Lakers fan but does want to meet Kobe Bryant. He's a boy from Arkansas and loves all home town things. LA Times reported Allen has no plans to change any of the anthem's lyrics as some singers have done before. Allen says, "I just want to get through it and not make any mistakes."
