Kris Jenkins Done for Season
The Jets nose tackle will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.
The New York Jets lost more than just their third game in a row Sunday; they lost their nose tackle too. Kris Jenkins will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn left ACL suffered in the second quarter of the Jets 16-13 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills, reports the New York Daily News.
According to FOXSports.com, losing Jenkins, a four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle, is a significant blow to Jets coach Rex Ryan's defense. Jenkins also suffered a torn ACL back in 2005. ESPN states Jenkins is considered a "centerpiece" of Ryan's defense and his loss will be a major hole to fill, both figuratively and literally.
