Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner get cozy

Kristen Stewart definitely had a sizzling relationship with Robert Pattinson on-screen in the first movie of the "Twilight" saga, and some even suggest that her affections off-set were genuine as well. Now as Stewart is preparing for the sequel, "New Moon," the young actress says that she and Taylor Lautner, who portrays Jacob in the new film, got "very close" as a result of preparing for their chemistry on screen. Lautner stated to MTV.com that the two characters "are so open, and they tell each other everything . . . so it was important for me and Kristen to grow very close before doing this." Stewart faced intense emotions on her own as she prepared for the scene where Edward leaves her, and lamented that she was overwhelmed by having to perform at such a high level of feeling.

In step with Stewart and Lautner's close bond, Stewart mentioned in People Magazine that she would literally "kill" for the new heartthrob.
