Kung Fu Panda Sweeps Awards
Dreamworks' "Kung Fu Panda" beats out Disney for top awards.
The silly, butt-kicking star of "Kung Fu Panda" swept the annual Annie Awards on Friday night.
According to E! Online, "Kung Fu Panda" brought home a whopping 10 wins, including best animated feature. The show honors the best in animation for the year.
The Dreamworks film, which features the voices of Angelina Jolie and Jack Black, beat Disney movies "Bolt" and "WALL-E" for the top award. Both Disney films left empty-handed, but are still in the running for an Oscar. "Kung Fu Panda" is also up for the same Oscar.
In addition to animation awards, "Kung Fu Panda" voice actor Dustin Hoffman won a best acting award for his performance as Master Shifu. The character trained the star of the movie, Po, in martial arts.
