Kurt Russell might replace Kevin Costner in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film.
According to Reuters, Costner will not be starring in Django Unchained due to scheduling conflicts. Russell is reportedly in talks to play the movie's villain, Ace Woody.
Russell previously starred in one of Tarantino's films. In Death Proof, he played a Hollywood stunt double named "Stuntman" Mike.
As Cinema Blend points out, Russell's potentially new role will have him starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Ace is a villainous employee who works under the supervision of DiCaprio's character, Calvin Candie, who trains slaves to fight for the enjoyment of others.
Christoph Waltz will also star in the film as a bounty hunter who rescues the title character Django, played by Jamie Foxx. The two then work together to save Django's wife.
Cinema Blend adds that Laura Cayouette, who starred in Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 2, has signed on to play Candie's widowed sister, who owns a plantation.
