This September, when Clemson begins their football season against Middle Tennessee, redshirt freshman Kyle Parker will be the starting quarterback.
According to Sports Illustrated, Dabo Swinney, the Clemson coach, chose Parker as the starter after practice on Monday morning. However, Swinney adds that redshirt sophomore Willy Korn will play every game this season.
Swinney thinks either quarterback will be a success, but says naming Parker as the start will "give the team time to solidify."
Parker has not played in a football game for Clemson before, but he has played other Clemson sports. Parker is on the Clemson baseball team and is a two-year starter.
Korn has played in eight football games and is 34 of 49, passing for 316 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for two touchdowns.
