LA Times Disapproves of NBC`s Censoring
Kanye West gets dissed by NBC for speaking out.
Kanye West was cut out of a telethon broadcasted by NBC on Friday. The Los Angeles Times criticized NBC for censoring rapper Kanye West's criticism of President Bush during 'A Concert for Hurricane Relief' on Sunday.
According to the Times, Kanye West's comment was cut by the network: 'George Bush doesn't care about black people.' NBC issued a statement defending its action, saying: 'It would be most unfortunate if the efforts of the artists who participated tonight and the generosity of millions of Americans who are helping those in need are overshadowed by one person's opinion.'
Kanye West is known for creating music that speaks to the public about current issues. The rapper is also a Grammy Award winner.
