La Toya Jackson to be 'Dancing with the Stars?'

A source close to La Toya Jackson told UsMagazine that she has been approached to be on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."

The source told Us, "[La Toya is] in serious discussions to join the show."

The singer has been in the spotlight a lot recenetly. Starting with sudden June 25th death of her brother, Michael Jackson. Soon after the death of the king of pop, La Toya made big headlines for a controversial interview. The Daily Mail paid Jackson for an interviewed where she claimed her brother, Michael Jackson was murdered. She said, "I believe Michael was murdered, I felt that from the start."

When Us contacted Jackson's rep, she said, "She's a big fan of the show, and being from a musical family, it would be a good fit."

According to the source, the show which is on ABC put out a 'firm offer' for her to be on season 9.

The new season of "Dancing with the Stars" is set to premiere September 21. The network has yet to confirm any stars yet but word is designer Vera Wang will also be on the show.
