Lacey Brown eliminated on American Idol
It wasn’t a good night for Lacey Brown, as she had the disservice of being the first of the top 12 to be eliminated on Season 9 of American Idol.
The judges got to test out what is called “the judges’ save.” This is a unanimous vote that can bring back any of the finalists who the fans eliminated until five competitors remain.
The rule comes after controversial eliminations in past of contestants such as Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson, who went on to become multiplatinum stars. Lacey was the first victim of the process, performing Brandi Carlile’s “The Story” for the second time this season. But she couldn’t convince the judges she was good enough and she didn’t get voted back in.
The other two contestants that were on the brink of elmination were Paige Miles and Tim Urban, but they managed to live to see another day.
This episode of Idol certainly had the stars shining. Kesha (featuring 3!0H3), Orianthi and 2008 David Cook all performed in what was a monumental night.
