Lachey wishes best for post-breakup Simpson

Despite a very public and nasty breakup four years ago, there is apparently "no hard feelings" between the former dream couple Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson.

Speaking to People.com, Lachey rather blandly stated, "I certainly have heard about her breakup and I wish her the best, as I've always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say." Simpson recently split from her quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys.

Added Lachey, "I haven't talked to her in probably two years. I wish her happiness. That's where it pretty much ends."

Lachey as well suffers from a recent breakup from girlfriend Vanessa Minillo. The former boy band singer insists though that any rumors of a reunion are false.

Lachey and Simpson both jump-started their careers with the MTV reality show "Newlyweds" in 2002 and have been milking as much publicity as they can from the show ever since. The couple filed for divorce in November of 2005, and Lachey especially, despite a semi-successful post-breakup album, have been facing increasingly media obscurity.
