Lady Gaga’s Ex-Tour Manager Tells All

Lady Gaga’s former tour manager’s new book claims she was insecure, had an unhealthy diet, and was hospitalized six times in 2009.

Lady Gaga has an eating disorder? That’s what her former tour manager, David Ciemny, claims in his new book. He is taking his backstage knowledge of the 24-year-old popstar and putting it to the pages of Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga.

According to Radar Online, Ciemny writes that Gaga (real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) would eat a lot of junk food and then starve herself for weeks to make sure she fit into her stage costumes. As a result of her malnourishment, she once lost 20 pounds in between fittings. He says, "When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally.” He also states that she was in and out of the hospital six times in 2009.

Ciemny’s wife Angela also chimes in on her experiences with the “Bad Romance” singer. In the book, she alleges that Gaga would cuddle in bed with her before she hit the stage. Afterward, Angela says, “She’d call and text me, ‘I miss you, Ange, can you come back?’ So I would.” She added, “We literally would do our make-up together every morning and get ready for bed together at night.”

It seems like the Ciemny’s claims may have some truth to them. In 2009, when asked about how she keeps in shape, Gaga told Us Weekly magazine, “It’s all about starvation! Pop stars don’t eat.”

Radar Online reports that the “Just Dance” singer has acknowledged her lack of confidence. She once said, “When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, ‘B**ch, you’re Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.”
