Lady Gaga’s 'Telephone' Messages

Recently there has been talk about Lady Gaga being a hermaphrodite and a lesbian, due to her new music video "Telephone." The singer talked about the video's sexual elements with 2Day FM.

“There are transsexual women and transgendered women, and suddenly it becomes poisonous and something else because there are some people in this world who believe being gay is a choice,” Gaga said.

The music video is set in an all-female jail house. As soon as Gaga arrives in a deep V-cut, black and white striped, pants-less outfit, the other women eye her sexually. One of them licks the bar as she walks past. Later, a guard says, “I told you she didn’t have a dick.”

The 23-year-old pop star said it was good to show the different sexualities in the video. “It's not a choice - we're born this way.”

Gaga also added, “That's why for me this video is groundbreaking because it has one foot in the art community and one foot in the commercial world.”
