Lady GaGa And Ex-Boyfriend Fire Back And Forth
Lady Gaga responded in an emphatic way towards her ex-boyfriend/former record producer’s lawsuit claims.
As we reported yesterday, Rob Fusari filed a lawsuit against Gaga for nearly $31 million, taking credit for launching her career.
Her lawyer, Charles Ortner, responded saying that the lawsuit was “unlawful.”
He elaborated that the suit was “structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose — to provide to the defendants unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents.”
Fusari’s agent, Robert Meloni, fired back saying that Ortner’s claims were “ludicrous.”
The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Manhattan. Fusari made claims that she ditched him when her career took off and that he co-wrote songs such as “Paparazzi” and “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich.” He also took credit for her stage name and getting her a record deal.
Gaga and Fusari were romantic nearly five years ago before the relationship turned professional in 2006, forming a joint venture called Team Love Child LLC. Fusari allegedly had 20 percent.
Meloni took a personal shot at Gaga stating, “Fusari is a PARTNER in the Team Love LLC with Gag and her father (through their company Mermaid), Rob was no more of an ‘agent’ for her than she is a Roman Catholic nun.”
