Rihanna and Lady Gaga invaded New York City, Friday, for the kick-off of the Today show and Good Morning America’s concert series, respectively.

According to The New York Daily News, the Barbados born singer arrived in Midtown and marched down the street in leather and a midriff baring outfit, with her dancers following behind. While marching down the street, she sang her hit “S&M.” Rihanna’s “Navy” got a little too excited during her performance when some of her fans pulled her while she shook their hands. Her dancers, however, took over “security guard duties” so she wouldn’t fall.

After performing “S&M,” the singer performed three more songs off Loud. She followed up “S&M” with “Only Girl (in the World),” “What’s My Name,” and her most recent single, “California King Bed.”

While Rihanna rocked Rockefeller Center, Lady Gaga was busy wowing in Central Park at Good Morning America.

Gaga, who just released her new album, Born This Way, made her grand entrance zip lining to the stage, wearing a red cheetah print bodysuit. She began her five-song set with “Bad Romance.” The sometimes outrageous singer followed up “Bad Romance” with a performance of “Edge of Glory,” “Judas,” “Born This Way,” and “Hair.”

According to the New York Daily News, for her performance of “Edge of Glory,” Gaga changed into a black and sheer cheetah-print bodysuit and a spiked jacket. For “Judas” she replaced the spiked jacket for a gold sequin jacket. For “Born This Way,” Gaga donned horns and took a dip in black water, while in her final performance, for the song, “Hair,” the singer played on a unicorn-shaped piano.

Lady Gaga not only performed on the morning show, she also answered questions from her “little monsters.”

For Gaga, it was a day she won’t forget. Late Friday she tweeted, “I don't know what happened today, but I felt the earth stop while monsters turned Central Park into Woodstock. I'll never forget it. Thank u.”
