Lady GaGa Sets A Record

The pop princess becomes the third artist to have three No. 1 songs.

Lady GaGa has become the third artist in the 16-year history of the Mainstream Top 40 chart to have three number one songs from a debut album.

"Love Game" went from 2-1 making it her third No. 1. The other two include "Just Dance" and "Poker Face." "Just Dance" stayed at the top for two weeks while "Poker Face" stayed for five weeks.

Avril Lavigne and Ace of Base have also accomplished three No. 1 songs from a debut album. In 1993-94, Ace of Base topped the charts with their singles, "The Sign," "All That She Wants," and "Don't Turn Around." Avril Lavigne hit the top with her three tracks, "Complicated," Sk8ter Boi," and "I'm With You."

Lady GaGa, who was born Stefani Germanotta, has sold 1,162,000 copies of the set, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
