Laguna Beach, Season 3 Episode 6
This episode of Laguna begins with Kyndra admitting to Cami that she is going out with her ex-boyfriend, Tyler. Cami quickly advises her against the date and says she would hate to have to say, "I told you so."
Tessa is glowing over Cameron. She enjoyed the time she spent with him in San Diego so much she is compelled to dish with Rocky's mom about her new crush. Rocky's mom tries to get to the bottom of Tessa's new love interest and asks what kind of guy he is. Even through her smiles Tessa has to admit she doesn't always pick the right guys and Rocky's mom expresses her apprehension about Cameron.
Jessica and Cameron's on-again off-again relationship is apparently on as she tells her friend Alex how much she likes spending time with him. She tells Alex that his birthday party is coming up but she is unsure whether she will attend or not. She says she's hesitant to go to a high school party. But Alex reminds her that she likes Cameron and urges her to go. It is part of the territory when you date someone you know is in high school.
Meanwhile, Cami and Candace express their concern for Kyndra. They both agree Tyler is no good and Cami says she regrets ever introducing Kyndra to him. They both agree no matter what they say Kyndra will do what she wants, but they seem sad that their friend is sure to get her heart broken.
Despite her friends' feelings, Kyndra enjoys her night with Tyler. He has grilled steaks and has cooked his way back into her heart. As they sit close and enjoy the meal Kyndra is taken by surprise when Tyler asks her if she wants to start things up again. She says yes and seals the deal with a kiss.
Tessa hopes of a romance with Cameron are crushed when she arrives at his birthday party. She is obviously excited as she asks people around the party where Cameron is, eventually she finds him on the back porch snuggled up with Jessica. They catch eyes for a moment, but Cameron makes it clear Jessica has his full attention.
Tessa looks devastated and makes a quick exit deciding not to say happy birthday.
The following day Tessa tells Rocky her true feelings about the situation and an empathetic Rocky responds by saying, "boys suck." Tessa is confused by Cameron's behavior since he was singing a different tune in San Diego and Rocky encourages her to call him and let him know how she feels. When Tessa does call, Cameron acts irritated and allows his friend to answer the phone. His friend lies to Tessa about Cameron's whereabouts and Tessa vents to his friend that she needs to talk to Cameron about last night. While Tessa is left sad and confused, Cameron and his friends happily go play beach volleyball.
