Lance Armstrong May Ride Into Politics
Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has stated that he is currently contemplating running for political office, WENN reports.
The boyfriend of star Kate Hudson, Armstrong devotes much of his time to his cancer charity, Lance Armstrong Foundation. But now the 36-year old cyclist has hinted at widening his scope. He is feeling that he would like to be given a political platform so that he can fight for an improved quality of life for those with cancer.
"There might come a time when you feel like you've reached a wall and you need to step into public office and try to make change through that channel or those ends," Armstrong stated Thursday at his foundation's Livestrong Summit. Presidential candidate John McCain was also in attendance.
Armstrong was diagnosed with cancer in 1996.
