Lara Croft Headed Back to the Big Screen
According to ireallyshouldstudy.com, Warner Brothers has confirmed plans to bring "Tomb Raider" back to theaters. The series will be completely new, but not necessarily better.
The story will be redone, with new loves, new baddies, and even a new origin are on the way for main character Lara Croft. And speaking of Ms. Croft, she will also be given a new actress.
That's right, Angelina Jolie is officially out. And Entertainment Weekly reports that despite rumors stating otherwise, look-alike Megan Fox will not be her replacement.
Eidos, the maker of the video games after which the movies were created, was disappointed in the sales of the latest video game version, "Tomb Raider: Underworld," according to The Escapist. Clearly, they hope that this renewal will bring the franchise back its original box office prowess. The original movie, "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" brought in $275 million.
