Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson apologized to the media Tuesday after using gay slurs on his Twitter account after the Chiefs loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, reports the Kansas City Star. He has also been told to stay away from the team for comments he made about head coach Todd Haley.
According to ESPN, the Chiefs are investigating the matter to determine if any disciplinary action is needed. Johnson's agent, Peter Schaffer, said his client is not being suspended by the team heading into the bye week. USA Today states Larry Johnson was suspended by the league for one game last season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
