Larry King to Share His Life Story in Upcoming Book
Larry King, host of Larry King Live, will release a book entitled What Am I Doing Here?, on Fathers' Day of 2009, AP News reports.
The 74-year-old talk show host's tell-all memoir will be published by Weinstein Books and coauthored by Cal Fussman of Esquire magazine.
"This book will be absolutely devoured by Larry King's millions of fans," Weinstein cochair Harvey Weinstein told the AP. "He is a true media icon - one whose personal and professional journey to date is filled with delightfully evocative anecdotes and behind-the-scenes observations on some of our most important world figures."
With over 50 years of experience in broadcast, King is expected to offer his opinions on some of the most notable figures of the last few decades. According to Weinstein Books, the broadcast personality will offer "uncensored" commentary on world leaders such as Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, and the first and second President Bush.
King will also discuss his childhood in Brooklyn and the early years of his career.
King, whose CNN show debuted in 1985, was honored by the city of Los Angeles, Sunday, when the intersection of Sunset and Cahuenga Boulevards was named Larry King Square, in his honor.
