The Late Brittany Murphy's 200 Pill A Month Diet

The actress was taking about 200 pills a month.

TMZ reports that the late actress Brittany Murphy, whose December death at the young age of 32 shocked fans, was receiving 200 pills per month at least between January 2008 to August 2009.

Under the alias Lola Manilow Murphy the star was sometimes able to get up to 400 pills at Eddie's Pharmacy in L.A. For nearly two years Murphy picked up prescriptions at the pharmacy, however, they stopped giving her pills about four months before her untimely death.

Murphy was able to get regular prescriptions for known addict-creating drugs such as hydrocodone, clonazepam, Klonopin, and Vicoprofen, says TMZ. Records indicate that one month the actress was supposedly prescribed 200 hydrocodone and 100 clonazepam, and another month she received 300 Vicoprofen and 100 Klonopin.

Friday afternoon investigators visited Dr. Richard Kroop, who wrote out all the prescriptions.

The Coroner's office reports that the actresses death was an accident, but could have probably been prevented. The Coroner's report states that Murphy suffered from sever anemia which made her weak, vulnerable to pneumonia, and that prescription drugs such as hydrocodone and acetaminophen further complicated issues drugs. Her menstrual period also negatively affected her anemia, the report states.

The actress was declared dead shortly after 10 a.m. on December 20, 2009. She had been suffering flu like symptoms in the days leading up to her death, and officials state her death appeared to be from natural causes.

Despite the huge amount of pills prescribed to her, an autopsy determined that there was no evidence Murphy abused drugs.
