Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy opened his monologue discussing Hilary Clinton, iPhones, and Windows. He also made some silly Facebook jokes about Mark Zuckerberg getting engaged, and commented on the Sarah Palin emails which were recently released to the public.
Following the monologue, was a sketch called “Celebrity Whispers,” in which Jimmy overdubs candid video clips of celebrities. It was so silly and childish that it was funny, much like most of Jimmy’s humor.
The first guest of the evening was Jada Pinkett Smith, from the show Hawthorne. She and Jimmy spoke about Willow, her daughter, and Jimmy’s cover of Willow’s song “Whip My Hair.” They also discussed Smith’s cover of Uptown magazine, and of course, the forthcoming third season of her show.
The second guest of the evening was Simon Pegg, who spoke about his book, Nerd Do Well. Pegg discussed embracing his nerd-ness, his crush on Carrie Fischer, working with Steven Spielberg, and the Star Trek franchise reboot.
Because this week has been named “Video Game Week,” Jimmy also had developers from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the show, and they all played the new game and spoke about its development.
