Late Show Wins Ratings Over "Tonight Show"

Letterman pulled in more viewers then O'Brien in last week's ratings.

According to reports, the "Late Show with David Letterman" pulled in more viewers than "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien," in last week's ratings. This is the first time the CBS program has received a larger audience for a full-week since 2005.

Reports indicate that the "Late Show" averaged 3.5 million viewers and a 0.8 rating while "The Tonight Show" averaged 3.3 million and a 1.3 rating.NBC reportedly stated that Conan O'Brien won "in every important demo" and said "The Tonight" audience is 11 years younger than David Letterman's. Reportedly O'Brien's demographic lead over Letterman is better than previous host, Jay Leno's, last year.

According to CBS, the margin between "The Tonight Show" and "Late Show" in the demo keeps narrowing. It has gone from a 1.4 spread during the premiere week to 0.6 two weeks ago to 0.5 this previous week.
