Lauren Conrad Will Not Star In Her Movie

Casting decisions have not been made for the adaptation of "L.A. Candy," but LC has already decided she will not take an acting role.

The film adaptation of Lauren Conrad's novel "L.A. Candy" is still in the early stages, but already the possibility of Conrad taking on an acting role has been completely ruled out.Conrad doesn't have much confidence in her ability to perform onscreen, telling PEOPLE "I think my acting is offensive!" So we know who won't be playing Jane Roberts, the book's main character, but there is still no indication of who will take on the role. When speaking with MTV News at the launch party for her Kohl's clothing line, Conrad did not have any answers about casting decisions."No [I don't know who should be in it,]" she told MTV reporters. "[That's] the question I do not have an answer for. I have no idea! I feel like I'm going to shoot for someone crazy amazing and then they're going to be like ‘Ugh, yea, I'll do your movie.'"However, she did throw out the possibility that long-time best friend Lo may be approached to play the role of Jane."I have to do research. We'll see. I would like Lo Bosworth. Lo has taken a couple of acting classes in her life."Whoever is chosen, Conrad will certainly have a say in it. She recently spoke with PEOPLE about her desire to have a say in every aspect of the project."If you're putting your name on something, it's really important to be a part of it," she told the magazine "or else people will just do whatever they want with it, and then it's not really you, and it won't be true. I'm planning on being a part of it from start to finish."
