Lauren Conrad's Book Proves Popular

Lauren Conrad's book tops NY Times bestsellers list for second week in a row

Reality TV stars note, once you find yourself past that 15 minutes of fame, there is always a way to extend it: write a book, preferably about your life. Though she is off "The Hills," Lauren Conrad still proves herself a fan favorite.
Her debut novel, "L.A. Candy," has topped the New York Times Best Seller list for the second week in a row. The novel tells the story of Jane Roberts, a fictional character based on Conrad herself, who moves to Hollywood and becomes a star on a reality TV show.
"If someone said to me five years ago when this all started that I would one day make the New York Times Best Seller list I wouldn't have believed it," Conrad told PEOPLE magazine, "I am so honored that it is now a reality."
"L.A. Candy" is the first in a three-book deal for Conrad, it is available in bookstores now.
