Leadership in Church

Right now, for the third time since moving to this area, I am going through hurt because of church people. Leaders are attacked by the people in the church and no one seems to care. People can run to the Pastor and complain and they call you aside in a room to read you the riot act. But when you take a stand against something, then you are also in the blame. All we did was ask our Pastor to step in so the Leaders working together could be in unity instead of one going to the Pastor to override everyone else. But he instead turned on us. Now we are trying to decide whether to walk away from years of ministry because we have lost the support of the Pastor. Tonight, we were home from church because of Halloween. Yet Halloween is not the issue - being asked if we want our boys to be a part of events is.

Anyone else out there being hurt by their supposed friends?

There was a time when the hurting went to the church, but now they have to look elsewhere.
