Ledger Leaves It All to His Parents
Before Heath Ledger completed the film, Brokeback Mountain, he had the interest and security of his parents at mind.
His will was updated, awarding all his savings and everything he owned to both his parents.
According to E! News, Ledger's documents (filed in a Manhattan Surrogate's Court) provided information on his accounts. On January 22, 2008, when the actor died, he held less than $145,000 in assets: including about $100,000 in bank accounts, $25,000 in his Toyota Prius, and approximately $20,000 in fixtures, etc.
However, the savings included here aren't all Ledger was leaving behind. He also lived in a townhouse in Brooklyn, New York which he shared with actress Michelle Williams and daughter Matilda, during their relationship, as well as owned property in Australia, his home turf, and money he still had stashed away there, in saving accounts. These are left to be cared for in Australia.
Ledger's lawyer has asked that further notice of his assets shall be kept in the family, and documented for the privacy of the actor.
