Leno Will Have Less Music, More Comedy on New Show

More Comedy on Leno's New Show

Jay Leno says that his new show will have more comedy and less chit chat.

According to Reuters, Leno says that he will have less music and only two instead of three guests.

Elements from his old "Tonight Show" will be included when his show kicks off in the fall. According to the Los Angeles Times, Leno said he has been running four miles a day in preparation for "The Jay Leno Show" premier on Sept. 14.

According to NJ.com, Leno is careless about NBC's position in ratings behind ABC, CBS, and FOX and talks about his new show as if it is an unimportant test. "If we go down in flames, we'll be laughing on the way down, believe me," Leno told reporters.

Leno admitted that he had grown complacent in doing the "Tonight Show" job but compares working with NBC like a marriage. He didn't want to leave them for another rival network. He also added that this new show will be more fun, allowing him to do things he couldn't do on the "Tonight Show."
